CPF, an Organization of Producers, sought a solution to monitor environmental temperature, relative humidity, and fruit pulp temperature in their cold storage facility, encompassing approximately 400 hectares of pear and apple production. Lusopera, the group's commercial arm, primarily exports to foreign markets, notably Brazil, where they lead in Rocha pear distribution. In 2016, after evaluating various market solutions, CPF chose CapTemp as their partner to address these monitoring needs.

CapTemp implemented a comprehensive temperature recording system across 48 cold rooms for ambient temperature monitoring and 7 cold rooms for fruit pulp temperature tracking. This system ensured compliance with legal and certification standards while enhancing CPF's understanding of the thermal conditions within their cold storage facilities. Additionally, the fruit pulp temperature recording capability enabled CPF to conduct heat treatment on fruit batches, meeting phytosanitary requirements for export to markets such as Colombia and Mexico.

- In 2016, the temperature recording system was installed in 37 cold rooms.
- By 2017, the system expanded to an additional 10 cold rooms, with two cold rooms equipped with four skewers for fruit pulp temperature recording.
- In 2018, the fruit pulp temperature recording system extended to five more cold rooms.
- CPF's adoption of the system ensured compliance with legal regulations, facilitated adherence to stringent quality certification
standards, and showcased the organization's commitment to modernization and process rigor. - In 2018, utilizing the temperature monitoring and recording system, CPF became the first facility to conduct heat treatment and export pears to Mexico, demonstrating their capability to meet international market requirements.
